After a snowfall the city's snow removal crews can become overwhelmed. In the meantime wear high boots and walk carefully. |

Beautiful white perspective Andy. Nice light also.
ReplyDeleteA never ending story I am afraid...
ReplyDeleteAlways amazes me how we first make it easier to travel by car than by foot. :)
ReplyDeleteStil a beautiful winter landscape.
ReplyDelete...my Muck Boots have been my friends lately!
ReplyDelete:) makes me think of kids walking here! Fun!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture and looks like a tough walk!
ReplyDeleteCandore della neve nell'inverno che fa il suo gioco...
ReplyDeleteUn saluto,silvia
That picture tells a story, I see a lot of work to walk that path.
ReplyDeleteSo much snow! We don't usually get much here in KY.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was working in Chicago, there was an underground walkway that went all the way from where I lived to where I worked. There was one tiny section where I had to go outside, cross a street and enter another building to access the tunnel again. After one heavy snow, I remember that short section had snow that was above knee level. When I got to the other building, I had to take off my boots and empty them before going on. Those boots worked most of the time, but that one time they weren't enough. Luckily, the tunnel was toasty warm the rest of the way.
ReplyDeleteStandby for a post next week of Toronto's underground.
DeleteYou will need cleats this afternoon, Andy!
ReplyDeleteThe weather went on high speed. I don't remember temperatures ever changing as quick as they did today.
DeleteTaking care while out and about is essential- especially if the conditions include freezing rain as we've had recently.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot!
Superb composition. I hate snow but, incongruously, I do love new-fallen snow (in Ontario) ... until it turns to slush. This is a gorgeous photo; I'd go for a walk there in a heart beat. Unless it was too cold.
ReplyDeleteSuch fun walking through the snow, especially when the snow squeaks underfoot. Then one knows it is winter. Looks like time for someone to get out their snowblower to clear some sidewalks.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of snow! Yes, high boots and follow others tracks!! Great photo.
ReplyDeleteHigh boots, parka, toque, scarf, gloves then mittens over the gloves...and that'll just to walk to my car. It has been so cold. I have kept my sidewalk cleared though. City crews have a tough job.
ReplyDeleteA pretty winter scene but some tough walking, I'm afraid.
ReplyDeleteIt could be tough going for a novice snow walker like me.
ReplyDeleteReally nice winter scene!
ReplyDeleteWhat's worse...snow? Or ice? Neither seems like a friend. I think I'd want my walking pole.
ReplyDeleteUn saludo,
