I forgot to check my camera settings before I took this photo. My aperture was set to F16 which in turn caused the star points from the sun. The good news is that I am pleased with my goof up. |

Crisp, cold, white and sharp until the horizon.
ReplyDeleteI think the result is pretty good for taking a picture of snow at F16
ReplyDeleteBravo!
It gives a freezing feeling, but cars can still ride I see.
ReplyDeleteIt is a fantastic shot!
ReplyDeleteI should say so. And is it my imagination or is the fellow in the SUV deicing his windshield?
ReplyDeleteWhat you are seeing is steam rising from St. Marys Concrete manufacture plant. It is 8 km. away.
DeleteUn'immagine originale che ho molto apprezzato
ReplyDeleteUn saluto,silvia
I love the star points - and the streaks of color in the sky!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Reminds me of my native Michigan.
ReplyDeleteI think it made a gorgeous shot!
ReplyDeleteIt's a great shot! I like looking at the snow in your photos rather than being in it myself!
ReplyDelete...keep goofing around!
ReplyDeleteHappy mistake!!! Great pictures.
ReplyDeleteLots of sun but it looks very cold.
ReplyDeleteSerendipity! Sometimes it works. And it worked well in this case. Love the shot, Andy!
ReplyDeleteDazzling!
ReplyDeleteYou made fine use of the distinctive winter light. The star points on the sun are just fine as they add to your composition.
ReplyDeleteAnother winner, Andy!
ReplyDeleteA happy result with the goof up, I like it too. It looks soooo cold out there, can't say I miss those cold frigid days.
ReplyDeleteI am pleased with your goof up, as well.
ReplyDeleteWe should all screw up like this, Andy.
ReplyDeleteEven your mistakes are good work, Andy.
ReplyDeleteA great photo!!
ReplyDeleteVery nice goof up!
ReplyDeleteLooks good, sometimes a mistake can turn out very good as it did in your case.
ReplyDeleteLooks pretty good to me!
