I forgot to check my camera settings before I took this photo. My aperture was set to F16 which in turn caused the star points from the sun. The good news is that I am pleased with my goof up.

    I think the result is pretty good for taking a picture of snow at F16

      What you are seeing is steam rising from St. Marys Concrete manufacture plant. It is 8 km. away.

    You made fine use of the distinctive winter light. The star points on the sun are just fine as they add to your composition.
