January
(31)
Here to. but tonight we had -5 C and now today it is -2 so I hope it doesn't disturb the grow.
ReplyDeleteIt's the same for the magnolia tree in our garden. I hope it is not frozen now that it is below zero. We'll see.
ReplyDeleteThe magnolia trees here have had their pussy willows sprouting since December 2012.
ReplyDeleteGood eye! When these are fully out they make excellent photo opportunities! But you already know that.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness...that is an unusual sight for this time of year. Good eye to spot these.
ReplyDeleteNice to see some premature signs of spring!
ReplyDeleteWeird weather all over the world.
ReplyDeleteSome plants just seem to have that "bring it on!" toughness about blooming early. We've had freezing weather (no snow) for days and our pussy willows are starting to bud too. I have a small potted daphne plant that I've been babying with night covers and it's actually got some small blooms on it!
ReplyDeleteHoly Toledo!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo! We've been in the 60's the past couple of days, but the cold is back tomorrow. It's definitely too early for things to be blooming.
ReplyDeleteI noticed this happening near me too and I thought it was just our area! The weather's gone nuts worldwide.
ReplyDeleteWillows budding in January? Must be global warming, but that's hard to tell as it is freezing here in South Texas tonight.
