A mild spell in temperatures melted the lake ice and open water returned. Now we are back into a deep freeze and the ice has reformed.
PS: This photo was taken a few days ago. Last night we had an other meltdown with rain, thunder and lightning. It's predicted that deep freeze will return today. What a roller-coaster ride.
WE had minus -19C yesterday morning. A bit chilly.
ReplyDeleteIt's friggin cold here also.
DeleteThe weather all over the world has been a bit strange lately. We just over freezing weather in desert last week. That's very rare for us.
ReplyDeleteNot missing winter!! This is our first year of wintering away from Toronto.
ReplyDeleteLucky you.
DeleteHey, my ice is close to 24 in thick!!! We've been driving on it for quite a while.
ReplyDeleteI love westerns... you guys take the brunt of winter for us easterns.
DeleteThat's just not right to have thunder, lightning and rain in mid-January. We don't even have that here. I like how you shot over the cattails (I believe that's what those are).
ReplyDeleteYup... cattails or bulrushes is correct. I was standing on a mound at the time.
DeleteI guess it would be hard to say that winter's boring after all your ups and downs!
ReplyDeleteOur temps have been up and down this winter. Very peculiar.
