Old City Hall Toronto.

This is Toronto's third city hall, built over 11 years (1889 - 1899) at a cost of more than $2.5 million. Following the opening of Toronto's fourth, and present, City Hall in 1965, Old City Hall was threatened with demolition. A group of concerned citizens and community activists called, "Friends of Old City Hall", convinced the city to preserve this important landmark. Old City Hall was declared a National Historic Site by the Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada in 1989.

  1. I find a little the constructions which I was able to see in Montreal or city Quebec. I like very much your composition and mix between modern and ancient architectures

  10. Lovely looking building, glad it was saved. Too many cities are quick to tear down historic architecture (CALGARY!).
