It's always kind of sad to think of homes being torn down.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how many people will be displaced by that road.
ReplyDeleteNot many. It's mostly rural area.
DeleteI wonder what the history of this house is and who lived there.
ReplyDeleteI love these old, abandoned places for they conjure all kinds of images and questions as to the people that first lived there - what their hopes and dreams were, and what happened over the years go come to this (well, other than a new highway)...
ReplyDeleteWell, assuming the road is needed, it is not taking down a very important building. Even if picturesque, this one is just four walls and a roof.
ReplyDeleteI always wish those walls could talk, I wonder what lives have passed through? Were they happy? What memories were made in this house?
ReplyDeleteI think I might have abandoned this one whether the new highway was coming through or not.
ReplyDeleteSo one look says this was owner designed and had some renovations along the way. Nice capture of a lonely old house awaiting it's end.
ReplyDeleteIt looks quite well at first sight, only a missing front door.
ReplyDeleteIt's an odd little place!
