Continuing from yesterday's posting... a massive parking garage is under construction at the Pickering Go Transit Station. The column support you see in the lower left is one of many that will extend the pedestrian bridge with access to the tiered parking.

The only trouble I have with a building site that it is interesting on the moment the building is ready. Before that it is very difficult to get an interesting photo off it. For my work I have made thousands of them and they where always boring in my eyes. But who am I ?
ReplyDeleteHopefully, this will help encourage more people to take public transit!
ReplyDeleteI've passed that several times lately and boy! It sure is going up fast...or so it seems.
ReplyDeleteIt does look large. I wonder how many parking spaces it will accomodate. They're getting ready to build another garage here in downtown.
ReplyDeleteAgree with Halcyon, also hope it will encourage more use of public transit!
ReplyDeleteIt sure is a better way to come into the city!
ReplyDeleteInteresting that when you see the workers you get an idea of the size of the area and project. This pier is a way up there.
