Nice action shot. Here the kids get also skating lessons but more on speed and distant aimed than at hockey.
ReplyDeleteThat is funny, they play ice-hockey. I hardly see that here when there is ice. It is not so popular here I suppose.
ReplyDeleteAh! I think I know exactly where you were when you took this photo. :)
ReplyDeleteWhen will all that construction work be finished at the entrance into Frenchman's Bay?
The construction will last a few years. The road is mess on the west spit.
DeletePeople in Minnesota are hockey-crazy, and parents like us pay willingly for lessons, hockey camp and equipment with long hours spent at hockey games (I always had a book secretly tucked in my purse!). My son hasn't played hockey since he left high school! At least he is a wonderful and skillful skater now!
ReplyDeleteHahaha, I'd say he's toying with you. Great shot!
ReplyDeleteGood to see skating on an outdoor rink. I'm sure there were times when he paid good money for a shot like this. I'm soft and skate in the arena once a week.
ReplyDeleteHe's got a twinkle in his eye which means he was probably trying to scare you. But you stood your ground. Must be very brave. And you got a terrific photo!
ReplyDeleteAh, pond hockey, a great childhood memory. He was just showing off.
ReplyDeleteHe must be very fond of the cameraman to stop on time like that ;>)!
ReplyDeleteThe favourite Canadian pastime no matter how old they are!
ReplyDeleteNice shot.. you have a handsome son, Andy.
ReplyDeleteHockey lessons + respect. There's always the "Ooops, sorry!" factor you have to watch out for, too.
ReplyDeleteNice to see you spent your good money teaching this strapping lad to skate. He looks like he is pretty solid . . . your food bills were also pretty big, I'll bet.
ReplyDeleteEvery other picture reminds me of my childhood. Southern Ontario in 2013 is looking a lot like northern Illinois in 1965.
ReplyDeleteNice action shot. Good sense of movement.
