Frenchman's Bay Construction

Construction has begun on improvements to Frenchman's Bay. Plans call for the reconstruction of the harbour entrance. There also will be a breakwall that extends into Lake Ontario. Total cost is pegged a nine million $$.

  1. My brother and I fished for smelts there

    many years ago.

    It was stomping grounds for us. My brother was an avid fisherman and he taught me all I know about fishing. Even how to get the worms at night and place them in cans tied to my legs with a rope. Then I sold the worms to fisherman from the States next day. So interesting your pictures to know construction To Frenchmans Bay.

    We did smelt fishing.

  4. I would imagine it was pretty tricky getting that heavy equipment out on that little finger of land. We've had big trucks be unwilling to drive onto our unpaved land for fear of sinking into muck.
